The answer is yes. Even seniors.
If your child is in the middle of high school, the end of high school, or already through 12th grade, there is still a place for them here. We meet students where they are. We help them finish strong.

Pillar 1: Regulation First
A child who feels safe does their best thinking. A child who is overwhelmed cannot learn, no matter how good the instruction is. At Roosevelt, every day begins with settling in, not with demands. We build safety into the rhythm of the day so learning happens from a place of calm, not anxiety. This is not a strategy we add on. It is the foundation everything else is built on.

Pillar 2: Designed, Not Adapted
Most schools for neurodiverse learners start with a traditional classroom and add accommodations on top. Roosevelt was designed from the ground up for the way neurodiverse children actually learn. The daily structure, the sensory environment, the way instruction is delivered, the way support is provided, none of it was borrowed from a model built for someone else. This school was built for your child. Not adjusted for them. Built.

Pillar 3: Strength Before Struggle
We see your child's gifts before we see their challenges. Every neurodiverse child arrives with abilities that most schools never discover because they stopped looking after the diagnosis. At Roosevelt, we find what your child does well and we build on it. We do not ignore what is hard. We address it through the lens of what is strong. A child who knows their own strengths has the confidence to face their challenges. That is the order that works.

Your Child's Support Team
Roosevelt Academy partners with experienced clinical professionals to provide integrated support during the school day so your child receives the help they need without being pulled out of school for separate appointments.
Our clinical partnerships include:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA): on-site behavioral support, staff training, and individualized behavior planning for students who need it.
Speech-Language Therapy: contracted speech-language pathology services delivered at school, integrated into your child's routine.
Pediatric Wellness: Roosevelt partners with Glow Pediatrics for pediatric health guidance and clinical consultation, ensuring your child's medical and developmental needs are supported alongside their education.
Occupational Therapy: available through our clinical network to support sensory processing, fine motor development, and daily living skills.
These services are coordinated with your child's Navigator so support happens naturally throughout the day. Your child does not feel pulled aside. They feel supported.
The World Is Our Classroom
Most schools keep learning inside four walls. Roosevelt takes it outside. Every week, our scholars board the Roosevelt Academy van and head into the community. Not for a field trip. For real learning in real places. Libraries, grocery stores, restaurants, community centers, and destinations across Oklahoma City become the classroom.
Each outing is structured with personalized goals for every student. A younger student might practice greeting a librarian and finding a book independently. An older student might plan a meal on a budget, navigate a store, and pay at the register on their own. Every experience builds executive function, social confidence, decision-making, and the independence your child will carry for the rest of their life. This is what education looks like when you believe your child is capable of more than a worksheet.

Roosevelt's Navigators are trained through a proprietary system specifically for neurodiverse learners. They are not generalists. They are specialists who chose this work. A note about cost: We understand that investing in your child's education is a significant decision. We also know you may find options that cost less. We encourage you to visit those schools and ask every question on this page. Roosevelt answers yes to every one, because we were built from the ground up to do exactly this, by a parent who lived exactly what you are living and refused to accept anything less for her own child. The question is not how much the school costs. The question is what your child receives. Roosevelt Academy is approved to accept Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarships and the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit.
